Weekly tip: practise eating on the move
Fuelling is a skill you train, not something you figure out on race day. This week's tip: eat on every long run.
Your stomach needs practice just like your legs. Long runs are the place to find out what you can eat while moving.
Try this week
On your longest run, eat little and often from early on, before you feel hungry. Note what you ate, when, and how it sat.
Why it matters
Race-day surprises usually come from trying something new. Whatever you plan to carry should already be familiar. If you have a medical condition, check with a professional first.
Compare notes with other runners
What suits one stomach can upset another. The Training board in the forum is a place to share what you've tried on long runs and how it sat.
