Terms

Plain terms for using project171.com and its guides.

Who I am

project171.com is run by Fredrik Asche Kaada through Kaada Nordic MarTech, org. no. 936 289 835, Ytre Eiganesveien 13, 4022 Stavanger, Norway. Contact: contact@project171.com.

Your account

You need to be at least 16, or have a parent's consent, to create an account or buy. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. I may close accounts that misuse the site, after telling you why.

Training guidance, not medical advice

Guides, workbooks and notes share personal experience and general training ideas. They are not medical, coaching or safety advice. Check with a doctor before hard training, and judge mountain conditions yourself. You train and race at your own risk.

Independence

Project 171 is independent. UTMB® and related names belong to their owners; mention of them does not imply endorsement. Race rules and Running Stones details can change — always check the official UTMB World website.

Content and intellectual property

Text, artwork and guides are © 2026 Fredrik Asche Kaada / Kaada Nordic MarTech. All rights reserved unless stated otherwise. Personal use is welcome; please ask before republishing. Third-party names such as UTMB®, Strava and Brevo remain the trademarks of their owners — see the brand and trademark page.

Memberships

Monthly and Yearly memberships renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel, update your card or download receipts any time under Manage billing in My account. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for; no further payments are taken. Switching between Monthly and Yearly takes effect straight away, and unused time on the old plan is credited against the new one.

Advisory

Advisory is a one-year programme. You pay in full or in 4 monthly instalments, which stop automatically after the final one. Founding prices apply only to the first 15 paid founding places. Instalments are a payment plan, not a monthly membership: if you stop paying, access pauses until the balance is settled. The 14-day right of withdrawal applies from the day you join: write to me within 14 days and you get a refund, minus a fair share for any days you have already used or work already delivered. If you pay by instalments, future instalments stop when you withdraw. After day 14, no refunds are given.

Digital downloads

The Fueling Ledger and the Route GPX & Waypoint Vault are one-off purchases for personal use. Before paying, you ask for delivery straight away and confirm that your 14-day right of withdrawal under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act ends once delivery has started.

Payments, prices and VAT

Prices are in euros. No VAT charged — not VAT-registered. Payments are handled securely by Stripe, which also sends your receipts; I never see your card details. For memberships you keep your 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you join: write to me within 14 days and you get a refund, minus a fair share for any days you have already used. Prices shown in USD or NOK are approximate conversions at the European Central Bank reference rate; you are always charged in euros, and your bank may apply its own rate.

Liability

I take care to keep the site accurate, but race data comes from organisers and can change. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect losses, missed races or injuries. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer.

Complaints

Write to me first and I will reply within 14 days. If we cannot agree, you can contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) or the Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet), or use the EU online dispute resolution platform.

Changes

If these terms change, I will post the new version here with a new date and email members about important changes before they apply.

Law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law.
